Hydrocarbon Vision 2030: Projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore approved, under stages of implementation, says Pradhan


Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan mentioned that out of Rs 1.30 lakh Crore envisaged for Northeast India under the hydrocarbon Vision 2030, tasks worth Rs one lakh Crore have been authorized and are under totally different stages of implementation.

Pradhan in a sequence of tweets acknowledged,”Out of the full Rs 1.30 lakh crore funding envisaged in NER under the Hydrocarbon Vision 2030, tasks worth Rs 1 lakh crore have already been authorized & are under varied stages of implementation. We are decided to fulfil PM @narendramodi ji’s imaginative and prescient of a developed east”.

In one other tweeted, “Also, suggested our oil companies to ensure 100% penetration of LPG in NER, expand footprints of CBG and alternative energy in a big way and make coordinated efforts to come up with a collaborative model in the area of petrochemicals to create more value and opportunities”.

He added in a tweet, “I encouraged the officials to make collaborative efforts in charting out a detailed roadmap for the entire hydrocarbon value chain covering the upstream, downstream and midstream segments to help achieve the objectives of Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for the north-east”.

The minister tweeted, “We also strategized on ways to make a quantum jump in domestic oil & gas production, reducing import bills, infrastructure investment and in tapping new technologies in E&P to catalyse growth in the north-east region for creating a sustainable and secure energy future”.

He mentioned, “I evaluated the progress of our oil and gas companies in leveraging the hydrocarbon sector for the development of the north-east region and making hydrocarbons a tool to enable accelerated socio-economic development and facilitating ease-of-living”.
